Concept Video
Here is a conceptual video showing what we would like to do with ariel drones. What's really interesting about our use case is that we have less barriers compared to using drones over populated areas. It will be dramatically easier to be able to test drones in new ways that are very difficult to test over populated areas. We probably have the best test conditions to really show the world the full potential of what drones can do and how they can improve.

Drone Pickup/Landing Platform
- A 1.2m wide landing platform will extend 3m from just below the patio. The platform will extend when the drone signals to the SeaPod that it is approaching for a pickup or delivery
- The landing platform will have a space for 2 standard size bins each with an edge around them so that the package fits securely and is not easily blown off of the platform.
- The landing platform will have an additional raised edge is around the edge of the platform so that nothing slips off the platform.
- The landing platform will have a weighing scale built into the standard bin space. If the bin is over the acceptable weight maximum of 10kg then the space will light up in red and give an alert noise.
- The platform is not intended to support the weight of a person but it should be able to hold a persons weight regardless.
- We should have a way of knowing the percentage that the platform is extended and have a secondary means to confirming that it is extended or retracted in case the primary method is not working.
Drone Considerations
Before a drone is loaded or sent, environmental conditions at the takeoff, landing and waypoints enroute will be considered. If the winds or rain or other conditions are beyond safe operating conditions the drone will not be loaded or sent.
Drone App
Users will be able to:
- See locations of registered drones
- See location of drones enroute
- See locations of EMS drone
- See locations of Security drones
- Order food, laundry service, trash/recycling/compost pickup
- Receive a notification to confirm they are available to receive a package or the service drone will not be loaded and sent
- See that conditions are not safe for pickup/delivery and will be notified when service resumes
- If users had requested drone service then they will receive a notification that the drone is not able to fly and they will receive a notification when the drone is ready to fly again.
- Deliveries that could not be made because no one is on the SeaPod to receive them will be sent when someone arrives and is able to receive the drone
- Track billing for all drone services they have consumed on a monthly basis
- Drones will not be sent if not one confirms they are available to receive a package
- When a drone is picking up a bin it will bring a replacement bin on its way out, drop it in the receiving area and take the full bin from the departure area.

Trash Pickup
The user will have a standard size trash bin in a kitchen cupboard with a weight scale built into the cupboard showing the weight in real time as it gets filled. When it reaches full capacity it should change color or have an alert light that shows it needs to be taken out.
The lid should be attached to the bin and fold to the side when it is in the cupboard so it is out of the way and the bin can be easily filled.
The cupboard should have a lid that lifts when you open and close cupboard.
The bin size is 30cm x 30cm x 50cm tall.
The trash bin should be delivered to a central trash location.
The user will be billed for their monthly trash disposal fee.
The user will be billed a penalty for mis-sorted trash (recycling/compost)
The trash bin color is black
Recycling Pickup
The user will have a standard size recycle bin in a kitchen cupboard with a weight scale built into the cupboard showing the weight in real time as it gets filled. When it reaches full capacity it should change color or have an alert light that shows it needs to be taken out.
The lid should be attached to the bin and fold to the side when it is in the cupboard so it is out of the way and the bin can be easily filled.
The cupboard should have a lid that lifts when you open and close cupboard.
The bin size is 30cm x 30cm x 50cm tall.
The recycle bin should be delivered to a central recycling location.
The user will be billed for their monthly recycle disposal fee.
The user will be billed a penalty for mis-sorted recycling (putting trash & compost & dirty stuff in recycling)
The recycling bin color is blue
Compost Pickup
The user will have a standard size compost bin in a kitchen cupboard with a weight scale built into the cupboard showing the weight in real time as it gets filled. When it reaches full capacity it should change color or have an alert light that shows it needs to be taken out.
The lid should be attached to the bin and fold to the side when it is in the cupboard so it is out of the way and the bin can be easily filled.

The compost bin should be delivered to a central compost location.
The user will be billed for their monthly compost disposal fee.

Courier Delivery
SeaPods can receive courier deliveries by drone.
The maximum size box that can be delivered is 50cm x 50cm x 50cm and be no more than 10kg.
The user will be billed for their monthly delivery fees.
Shopping/Package Delivery
SeaPods can receive shopping and package deliveries by drone. These could be supplies from a neighbor, a nearby business or from shore.
The maximum weight is 10kg.
The lid should be attached to the bin and fold to the side so it is out of the way and the bin can be easily filled/emptied.
The bin size is 30cm x 30cm x 50cm tall.
The user will be billed for their monthly delivery fees.
The shopping/package bin color is brown
Emergency Medical Delivery
EMS services by drone will deliver emergency medical supplies (defibrilator and other equipment) to Seasteads, boats and coastal land areas. If deliveries are being sent to SeaPods they will be delivered by drop off otherwise they will be on a tethered winch.
Food Delivery
SeaPod users will be able to order food from a drone app. See estimates on when food will be ready, see when it is sent, see where it is enroute and notify the user it is approaching.
Laundry Service
The user will have a standard size laundry bin in the bedroom with a weight scale built into the closet showing the weight in real time as it gets filled. When it reaches full capacity it should change color or have an alert light that shows it needs to be taken out.
The lid should be attached to the bin and fold to the side when it is in the closet so it is out of the way and the bin can be easily filled.
The bin size is 50cm x 50cm x 50cm tall.
The laundry bin should be delivered to a central location where a laundry service is located.
The user will be billed for their laundry by the pound.
The laundry bin color is white
Monitoring & Security
All service drones will be able to function as a monitoring & security drone as well. We will use AI with Facial recognition to identify friendly visitors. We will build a database of friendly & trusted visitors.
