Design a fully functional pneumatic elevator that can be installed on SeaPods.

Description

Pneumatic elevators are elevators that use air pressure to transport people and goods vertically. Unlike conventional elevators and lifts, pneumatic elevators do not need cables and weights or even pit or machine room for operation. They are easy to build and simple to install.  

Why this is Important

Pneumatic elevators are compact and ideally suited for places that are limited in space, for example, the spar of a SeaPod. Pneumatic elevators use vacuum and air to operate the car. They are eco-friendly that rest on an existing platform and do not requiring pre-construction shafts, pits or machine room to operate like conventional elevators. They consume lesser power than conventional elevators since they use vacuum to move up and gravity to move down.

• Structural Engineers - To design and build the elevator
• Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineers - To design turbines, movement and controls for the pneumatic elevator.
