Results

The outcomes of this project must be a fully functional system algaemycelium farm with a manufacturing unit that can create the following bioplastic products.

  • Food wrap
  • Surf board
  • Shoes or flip-flops
  • Food tray
  • Water bottle
  • Other 

 

Recommendations

The results must accompany a design document that details the following:

  • Design of the algaemycelium farm
  • TypeTypes of algaesubstrata and mycelium used
  • Time to grow a full fledged colony 
  • Amount of biomass produced in a day
  • Plasticizer and compatibilizers used to create different products.
