Curved Inside Walls

You may have wondered how we will make the complex curved interior walls of the SeaPod. We have gone through multiple design interations and engineering and experimentation to get to the answer. We started with wanting to use our massive 3D printer to make the complex designs. Then we decided it would be faster to use the printer as a CNC router to cut out the shape. Finally we decided on a corrugated box type material as see below which is very flexible and easy to shape into nearly any design. Once the desired shape is achieved it is covered in a finishing material.
